Is it possible not to pay the employee during the probationary period?

Entrepreneurs often hire employees for a so-called internship, or for a probationary period, to see if the person is suitable for the job.

During this period, the employee is not formalized and very often, wages are not paid. Is it possible to do so.

The Labor Code stipulates that, as a general rule, a probationary period is set at up to 3 months.

The legislation of Ukraine does not provide for the establishment of a test for an employee free of charge.

Such an employee may not be admitted to work without concluding an employment contract and without notifying the tax service of hiring the employee.

If the employee is not registered and such an employee will not be paid a salary, the employer may be fined 60 thousand UAH. for one employee.

If you want to prepare for the inspection, or you need to appeal the fine of the supervisory authority - leave your number and we will call you.
